Synopsis
Jang Bong Hwan is a South Korean chef who has risen up the ranks to cook for the country’s top politicians in the Blue House’s presidential residences. Ever the dreamer, he finds himself in the body of the young queen, Kim So Yong, when whisked away to an era deep in Korea’s past. While Queen Kim So Yong’s husband is the reigning monarch, King Cheol Jong, he is so in name only. The late King Sunjo’s Queen, Sun Won, has taken advantage of King Cheol Jong’s better nature, and is ruling the realm in his name. And she faces competition from her own brother, Kim Jwa Guen, who also has designs on power. Queen Kim So Yong will come to discover that her husband harbours some secrets, and is not as gentle and meek as he seems…

My review
This series is based on the original Chinese web drama Go Princess Go, the series is about a man named Bong-hwan from the modern age, being trapped in the body of Queen Kim So Yong in the Joseon era. Honestly, the actress Shin Hye-sin nailed her role. In Joseon, the princess is rescued from the lake and is in coma.Meanwhile in the present Kang Bong Hwan is a chef at blue house. Due to politics, he was framed and while running for his life, he jumps from his apartment and lands in coma. But his soul travels back to 200 years and he wakes up in a woman’s body. He initially plans if he jumps into the lake ,he will return back to its original body and there begins the adventures of the queen.

Why should you watch?
- Queen So Yong is alone. She initially tries to find why she has no one to rely in the palace and even the king is not on her side. This series showcases how we can win people even though we can be different.
- King Cheol-jong is caring. He is upright and cares for his citizens but his hands are tied by the minister of Kim clan. He tries to break his shackles and tries to be better King.
- Comedy is soooo goood. It will certainly tickle your funny bones. We will certainly like how the soul in the Queen’s body undergoes all the key steps are denial, anger, depression, bargaining, and acceptance.
- Kiss scenes are long. Even though the King and Queen are at logger heads, their on-screen chemistry and steamy kisses at night makes some episodes too romantic.
